At Sekani Kindergarten, our outstanding Reception class is the ideal way to ease your child into the exciting world of learning.

In the reception class, children still follow our unique blended Curriculum, however at this stage we introduce a more structured school day. It is a start of formal education; however, emphasis is still on learning through play at this stage. Our dynamic curriculum is enriched by subject such as Art, Literacy, P.E, Numeracy, Music and many more.

The Reception Class offers a supportive and fun bridge between Top class and the more formal educational experience enjoyed from Primary Year 1.

The range of ability amongst our learners will continue to be quite broad at this stage, therefore, a high level of differentiation is used across the curriculum to ensure that all pupils are being appropriately challenged.

How we empower Our Daffodils

Nurturing Young Intellectuals

In Reception Class (4 - 5 years old) at Sekani, we use unique teaching methods that stimulate your child’s intellectual growth. Our experienced teachers guide each child through a fascinating learning journey, making each lesson an adventure of discovery. Through our student-friendly curriculum, we equip our little scholars with a wide range of skills, preparing them for the next big step – Primary school!

Fostering Adaptability

As the world changes rapidly, adaptability becomes a crucial skill. Reception class prepares our learners to accept new realities and manage their activities confidently. By teaching them to control their behaviour and manage mood swings, we equip them with the skills to navigate transformations without stress.

Promoting Physical Exploration

At Sekani, we focus on the physical development of our leaners by nurturing their natural curiosity. We encourage them to explore, discover, and harness their unexpected abilities. Whether it’s honing motor skills or supporting a budding interest in transportation, we provide an environment that promotes holistic physical development.
